Lorrie Melby, MD, earned her medical degree at the University of Minnesota, and completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA Medical Center. She joined HealthCare Partners in 1988 as a primary care physician. Dr. Melby served as the Lead Physician for several HealthCare Partners offices in the Pasadena area until February 2007 when she was given responsibility for all Skilled Nursing Facilities in the Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley region. She then became integrally i ly through this program. In September 2007, Dr. Melby completed a two-year fellowship program sponsored by the California Health Care Foundation to prepare health professionals to take the lead in improving California's healthcare system.
