Your voice-over instructor is William Williams. He has 20 years experience in various aspects of commercial and animation production. He has worked for a Fortune 500 company as a Director of Marketing and uses this experience to give you instruction that reflects the desires of the Commercial Client, the one who is ultimately paying the bill for voice-over work. In addition William has worked for the last 21 years at Aliso Creek Productions as a Producer and Director of radio commercials and animation for TV and CD Roms. Many voice-over teachers are only voice-over actors who try to shape your performance to fit their interpretation of the copy. As a producer and director as well as a performer, William works with you to draw out your style and interpretation so that your voice-over work is uniquely your own. William has produced hundreds of local, regional and national spots including AT&T, Greyhound, Harrington Hoch Insurance, Nissan and many others. He currently works with Nancy "Bart Simpson" Cartwright as well as Michel'le, Yakov Smirnoff, Jack Mayberry and Tommy Sledge. William's rep is Arlene Glucksman-Jones at AKA Talent. All Voice-Over Workshops are held at Aliso Creek Studios, a digital audio production facility in Burbank near Los Angeles, California, USA. It is a full service studio with 2 separate live rooms and control booths and state-of-the-art equipment. Capabilities include multitrack digital recording, live and MIDI music production, digital mixdown and synching of sound to video. It is a similar environment to most commercial production facilities thus giving you the opportunity to practice and learn in real-world conditions. The performing atmosphere is relaxed and informal which helps you to build confidence and experience while working under professional conditions. You get the best of both worlds and practice under actual commercial production conditions in an environment that encourages you to try different approaches and experiment as you improve your voice-over abilities. Your performances in every class session are digitally recorded so that you can review your work and practice between sessions.
