General Description

Since the restaurant is named SPICE & RICE, there are several dishes, which like virtually all entrees can be served in a vegetarian version, or topped with the guest's choice of chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, squid or scallops. The choice of topping dictates the price of the dish, with vegetables, pork and chicken the least costly, and scallops at the upper end of the scale; no standard dishes, however, cost moret han $12.95 and most begin at $7.95. Rice options include simple, Thai-style fried rice sauteed with egg, onions, tomatoes and scallions; spicy fried rice with green peppers, garlic, chilies and basil leaves, and the sweet, fragrant yellow curry fried rice, is served with a cucumber vivnaigrette. the beef in Panag curry ($8.95) seems a Thai version of beef Stroganoff, and the shrimp with hot basil is superb ($10.95).
