Dr. Brent Tan received a B.S. from University of California, Los Angeles, in biochemistry, an M.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a PhD in molecular biology from the University of California, Los Angeles. He trained as a resident in anatomic pathology and fellow in hematopathology at Stanford, followed by postdoctoral research in the laboratory of Dr. Irving Weissman at Stanford studying cancer stem cells.
