The Invisible Studios provides an intimate, comfortable artist haven just a few blocks from the Beverly Center, in the heart of West Hollywood. Offering an open-minded approach to traditional recording and abstract artistry, The Invisible Studios integrates analog and digital technologies to cultivate your full creative potential. Combining a 16–channel, 32-input custom vintage ADM console, Class A outboard gear and a variety of dynamic, condenser, ribbon and FX microphones, The Invisible Studios encourages performers to utilize a fully analog front-end. A 24 input/output Pro Tools HD3 system with Icon console provides world-class recording, mixing, and editing capabilities. This signal path provides both warmth and flexibility--presenting a myriad of sonic possibilities honed by knowledgeable, creative staff. For the physical studio, Hanson Hsu (http://www.deltahdesign.com/form.html) designed ZR (zero reflection) rooms to create spaces that have no standing waves, resonant frequencies, or bass build-up. The Invisible Studios’ design is flexible enough to record a full band one night, and mix a feature film or television show the following day. ZR Acoustics ZR Acoustics™ [Zero Reflection Acoustics] is a modus operandi for designing audio production spaces with crystal clear acoustics + world class acoustic signatures. Utilizing everyday construction materials, ZR Acoustics™ renders rooms acoustically invisible, extending the near field environment to the entire air volume of the space. The design algorithm generates an abnormally large sweet spot 5 feet wide extending from the mix position all the way to the rear wall. Eliminating aberrant acoustical anomalies such as resonant frequencies, standing waves, room modes and bass buildup in corners, ZR Acoustics™ allows mixers to focus on the two remaining challenges facing all audio engineers: content and transducers.
