General Description

Dr. Lawrence received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He then attended Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, CO, for his residency and fellowship programs in Gastroenterology. Dr. Lawrence has received many awards and honors including his military service in the U.S. Army where he left the United States Army as a Major and received the Meritorious Service Medal in 1992 and the United States Army-Army Achievement Medal in 1994 and 1996. Dr. Lawrence is also an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. Dr. Lawrence was the Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado from 1996-2000 and the Medical Director for the GI Endoscopy Unit at the Denver VA Medical Center from 1996-1999. He has given presentations at several national and international GI meetings and has authored numerous publications in medical and GI journals.
