Jorge Luis Liporaci, M.D. earned his medical degree from the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado Decanato de Medicina in Venezuela. After graduating, he served as coordinator and practicing physician at a rural clinic before moving to Caracas where he served as resident physician at two hospitals, Corporacion Su Vida and Clinica Acosta Ortiz. In 2006, he move to Philadelphia and completed a residency in general surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital. He was then appointed to a surgical critical care fellowship at Christiana Care Health System. Dr. Liporaci has co-authored publications on medical education, immunology and breastfeeding.
