I work as a fellowship-trained Assistant Professor in the Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida. I am honored to work as a Surgeon of Excellence at UF Health's Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery (COEMIG) and Complex Endometriosis Care (COECEC). I conduct research in endometriosis and adenomyosis because they are prevalent conditions that are under-recognized and understudied and their painful symptoms are commonly dismissed as normal during adolescence. Specifically, my research interests involve the influence of the microbiome and mitochondrial dysfunction in endometriosis and adenomyosis.
