Clinically, I am a provider in advanced chronic kidney disease, or CKD, kidney failure and end stage kidney disease, or ESKD. I have established models for enhanced patient-centered care for those with CKD to ESKD transition, with special emphasis on the patients who are at the most fragile stage of CKD. My overall goal is to enhance patient-centered approaches that can lead to greater patient satisfaction in medical therapies. In academic realm, I am a professor of medicine in the University of Florida Division of Nephrology, Hypertension & Renal Transplantation and director of the advanced CKD and Home Dialysis Program.
