General Description

Hi, my name is Dr DeGroff and I work as a professor of pediatric cardiology at the UF Health Congenital Heart Center. After finishing a very rewarding masters of science degree program at Cal Tech in Electrical Engineering, I had an unrewarding early career start in electrical engineering until I discovered medicine was the career I realized I was looking for. In my early medical training I discovered cardiology was the medical specialty where I could most use my engineering skills. On top of that I always wanted to work with kids so Pediatric Cardiology was the perfect fit for me. I completed my pediatric residency program at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles.
