Watching my father, who is a general surgeon, take care of patients in remote and underserved areas growing up, inspired my direction to become a doctor. After my general surgery residency, I recognized my strengths of being meticulous and problem solving. The rest is history, and now I am an assistant professor with the University of Florida Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
