General Description

My name is Shireen Madani Sims, MD, and my patients and colleagues call me Dr Madani. I am Professor and Chair of the University of Florida Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Some would call me a quadruple Gator because I completed my undergraduate degree, medical degree and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UF before joining the faculty in 2005. Over the years, I have served my department and the College of Medicine in several capacities, most recently as Vice Chair for Education and as the Associate Dean for Student Affairs prior to being selected as Chair after a national search in 2025. My professional interests include general obstetrics and gynecology and medical education.
