He then completed a one-year internal medicine internship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, a three-year neurology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, and a one-year vascular neurology fellowship also at Yale New Haven Hospital. Prior to UF, he worked as a clinical instructor of Neurology at Yale University while completing a one-year- StrokeNet NIH research fellowship.
