Thomas W Wright, MD, received his bachelor's degree from Emory University and then attended the University of Florida, where he obtained his medical degree and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha. AOA is a medical honor society representing the highest ideals in medicine. Only the top ten percent of medical students are eligible to be elected to AOA.After completing his orthopaedic residency at UF, Wright attended the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery. He was board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1992. In 1993, he received his Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery and is certified through 2022.
