General Description

My health care journey began when I received my MD in 1984 from the prestigious Assiut University Faculty of Medicine in Egypt. I continued my medical training at Assiut University, completing a residency in orthopaedics in 1989 while simultaneously earning a masters in orthopaedics in 1988. I followed this with a PhD in orthopaedics in 1993. I pursued several fellowships, starting in 1991 with a fellowship in hand surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. This was before completing a fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and Medical College in Taiwan in 1995.
