During his fellowship, he served as assistant team physician for the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings, and Pistons. A University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign bioengineering graduate, he earned his medical degree from Southern Illinois University and completed his orthopedic residency in Indiana. Dr. Staron treats acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, with a special focus on athletes of all ages. He previously provided care for the Gary SouthShore RailCats and Lake Central High School.
