Cardiovascular medicine is one of those specialties that is truly life-saving. The field of cardiology is always advancing with a multitude of different avenues so I always incorporate a systematic approach. Therefore, not only is the doctor-patient relationship important but also the multi-disciplinary approach to the management of such complex disease processes. I was raised with values to always respect and treat one as if they were my own family. Respect and the values the patient holds are paramount. The journey of a patient and their family can be a tough road but I will be there along with them to help alleviate any roadblocks incurred. We are all in this together and it is a privilege to save another human life.
