Dr. Ryan Nixon is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of the shoulder and knee as well as sports-related injuries. He has advanced training in tendon transfers, ligamentous reconstruction and treats simple and complex pathologies of the shoulder and knee. Dr. Nixon graduated with honors from Indiana University Bloomington, where he received his undergraduate degrees in biology and neuroscience. He obtained his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Nixon then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Hofstra University in New York. After residency, Dr. Nixon completed additional fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston.
