General Description

Dr. James (Jed) Moyer is one of only a handful of non-operative pediatric orthopedists in the nation. Dr. Moyer evaluates, diagnoses, and treats clubfoot, gait abnormalities, hip dysplasia, limb pain, and many other pediatric musculoskeletal conditions. He is board certified in pediatrics Dr. Moyer earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, completed a general pediatric residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, and then a Fellowship in Non-operative Pediatric Orthopedics here at Children's Orthopedics of Louisville in 2014. He has been with the group since. Dr. Moyer's mission is to provide optimal musculoskeletal evaluation and treat as many patients as possible with nonsurgical care. He attempts to bridge any gaps that may exist between primary care and a subspecialty and treat ‚Äòthe whole patient' Dr. Moyer is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Pediatrics Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness, and the Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine Society. He is married to Dr. Sarah Moyer, M.D., currently the Director of the Health Department for Louisville Metro. They have 3 boys and are expecting their first girl this march. When he is away from the office, he enjoys playing basketball, guitar, and spending time with his family. He played 4 years of Div III college football at Moravian College in Pennsylvania, and remains a die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan.
