He obtained advanced fellowship training in inflammatory bowel disease at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Dr. Muñiz Pedrogo is the assistant director of the IBD clinical trials unit at Johns Hopkins. His research focuses on improving precision medicine for treatment of IBD by understanding the role of the immune system and gut microbiome in predicting response to various therapies and in predicting other clinical outcomes.
