Her research interests include peripheral artery disease, fibromuscular dysplasia, and cardiovascular disease prevention among firefighters. Dr. Ratchford has been recognized by several honors, including the Merck Book Award from Yale University School of Medicine. She serves on the editorial board of the journal Vascular Medicine as editor of the Patient Page Section. She is currently the President of the Society for Vascular Medicine.
