General Description

We provide a diverse and welcoming atmosphere with a passionate light hearted staff providing ample seating in the pub, bar, and outdoor patio. We also have a community room for private groups that seats 50 comfortably. Built in 1926 as the Belcrest Hotel, our space was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 19983 and was listed on the National Register of Historic places in 1984. It is significant as an early example of the apartment hotel development concept in Detroit, a major early work of Architect Charles N. Agree. Joanna Maslach currently manages the team at Common Pub and has over 10 years of experience planning parties and events. Her attention to detail, creativity and genuine love of her guests is evident. Jackie Sherer currently leads the kitchen as Chef de Cuisine, her passion for the culinary arts is indisputable. Not afraid to be subtly bold, she likes to infuse comfort food classics with eclectic flavors.
