The Outback Steak and Oyster Bar was built in 1987 by Linda and Steve Wood. Over the last 17 years, the restaurant has become an Ozarks favorite, claiming the "best steak in the state of Missouri". In 1989, the Outback Outfitters was built, a clothing store with Australian flair. The "Outfitters" was converted into the Outback Pub in the fall of 1998. The Pub is a true Australian-themed tavern complete with authentic Australian articles strewn throughout. The Outback Pub offers over 100 beer selections, mixed drinks, appetizers and sandwiches with live nightly entertainment. Come to the Pub and hang out with some of the Ozarks most enjoyable people. The Outback Roadhouse Motel and Suites is the latest to join our "Outback" family. It opened in the fall of 1998 to rave reviews. The Roadhouse also follows the Australian theme. Tucked quietly on the south end of the Outback property, it is the perfect compliment to the Steak and Oyster Bar and the Pub.
