Dr. Karyn Ofa was attracted to the Intermountain Health team because of its emphasis on quality patient care. Dr. Ofa grew up in Southern California, and after working as a medical technologist in Arizona, she decided to become a physician. She has served as a hospitalist and primary care physician in internal medicine at Kaiser Permanente’s Sunnyside Hospital in Clackamas, Oregon, where she established a delirium monitoring program. Dr. Ofa earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at California State University, Fullerton and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale. She completed an internal medicine residency at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
