Dr. Kevin Machino brings a passion for treating patients with musculoskeletal injuries to his position. He is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine. He completed his fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at The University of Chicago/NorthShore University Health System and residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at The University of Chicago/Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital. Prior to Chicago, he completed his medical training at Touro University California and surgical internship year at UCSF East Bay.Dr. Machino is devoted to providing the highest quality of full spectrum non-surgical orthopedic care for a diverse patient population of all ages and abilities. His goal is to work together with patients to improve function and get individuals back to activities or hobbies that they enjoy. He has a strong commitment to providing evidence-based medical care through a patient-centered holistic approach.Dr. Machino can help with rehabilitation and recovery through therapy and exercise prescriptions, bracing or orthotics, guided return to activity for sports-related concussions and injuries, and use of regenerative medicine including platelet rich plasma if appropriate. His passion is in medical education, providing sports coverage, and the utilization of diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures.In his spare time, Dr. Machino enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. He also likes to stay active mentally and physically through basketball, golf, hiking and meditation.
