Oshiro Pediatrics was started in 2000 by Andrew Oshiro, MD. From 1996-2000, he worked at the MGM Family Medical Center which was the onsite medical clinic at the MGM Hotel in Las Vegas. His wife, Vicki Hom, MD FAAP joined Oshiro Pediatrics in early 2001. She had worked at Nellis Air Force base as a pediatrician from 1996-1999 and at Prem Pediatrics in Las Vegas from 1999-2001. In 2009, PNP Noelle Cerdan joined the practice. PA Ward joined in 2013. Vicki Hom, MD FAAP is in private practice with Oshiro Pediatrics. She did her undergraduate studies at Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in biology. She went to medical school at Tufts University in Boston. She did her pediatric residency at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. She is married to and works with Andrew Oshiro, MD FAAP who is also a pediatrician with Oshiro Pediatrics. They have worked together since 2001. They have two daughters, aged 17 years old and 12 years old. Andrew Oshiro, MD FAAP is a pediatrician with Oshiro Pediatrics. He did his undergraduate studies at Stanford University, graduating with a degree in biologal sciences. He went to medical school at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. He did his general pediatric residency at LSU New Orleans. Noelle Cerdan, CPNP is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She completed both her Bachelor's degree in nursing and her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). She is a registered nurse (RN). A pediatric nurse practitioner provides services just like a physician's assistant (PA) or a family nurse practitioner (NP). A pediatric nurse practitioner, however, has had more extensive and specialized pediatric training. Whereas a PA or a NP trains to take care of both pediatric patients and adult patients, a PNP trains solely in the care of pediatric patients. PNP Cerdan joined Oshiro Pediatrics in May 2009. PA Ward is one of the most experienced pediatric clinicians in Las Vegas. After training at the University of Colorado Health Science Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant Program in arrived in Las Vegas in 1980 to work at ACI Pediatrics. In 1991, he joined Akogyheram and Weiner Pediatrics and later went with Dr. Weiner to work at Desert Pediatrics. In 2003, he joined Prem Pediatrics. Most recently he did a second stint with ACI Pediatrics from 2006-2013. ACI Pediatrics is now known as A Las Vegas Pediatrics. There are very few pediatric practitioners who have been continuously practicing in Las Vegas for as long as he has. Mike Ward, PA-C has been practicing pediatrics continuously in Las Vegas since 1980. PA Ward is one of the most experienced pediatric clinicians in Las Vegas. He has worked at ACI Pediatrics, Desert Pediatrics, and Prem Pediatrics.

General pediatrics services including well child care, same day sick visits, vaccinations, circumcision, removal of impacted cerumen, EKG, pulmonary function testing, OAE (form of hearing screening), and tympanogram.

Professional Affiliations

Dr. Andrew Oshiro and Dr. Hom have admitting privileges at Sunrise Hospital where they will see healthy newborns. They will take care of most sick patients who are directly admitted to Sunrise Hospital from the office.

Dr. Vicki Hom speaks fluent Cantonese and some Mandarin. PNP Cerdan speaks spanish very well although it is not her native tongue. Dr. Oshiro took 3 years of Latin in high school, so if you are Roman.....
