Dr. Angelo Kanellos was raised locally graduating from Reno High School and the University of Nevada, Reno. He moved to Los Angeles for both medical school and urology residency training at the University of Southern California. After completing 10 years of training he returned to Reno to practice. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the Society of Robotic Surgeons.While practicing most aspects of urology, he has developed a keen interest in caring for prostate cancer patients. He has expertise with prostate cancer diagnosis, medical management, and surgery. As an early adopter of robotic surgery in 2008 he has extensive experience with the da Vinci robot. His case log for robotic radical prostatectomy places him in the top 10% nationwide. For management of advanced disease he is co-director with Dr. Freeman of Urology Nevada's Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic.
