Dr. Talitha Bruney is Division Chief of General Obstetrics and Gynecology at NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital. Dr. Bruney was born and raised in the small Caribbean island of Dominica. She has a passion for caring for women of diverse and underserved backgrounds. She graduated from Yale University and obtained her medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in 2012 and was the administrative chief during her final year of training. Dr. Bruney is a general OBGYN who has a strong interest in academic medicine, resident education, breastfeeding support and education, maternal depression and opioid use disorders, as well as improving healthcare engagement and support in the community. She provides both inpatient and outpatient services and loves taking care of women in all stages of their lives (adolescents to the elderly).
