Even though we primarily focus on commercial general contracting projects, Vance Construction is involved in select design-build custom homes in the residential realm. Over the past years most general contractors have subcontracted a growing percentage of their construction activities. At Vance Construction, we remain committed to performing critical structural work with our own employees. We currently perform concrete work, carpentry work, and metal building erection with in-house crews. Although we continue to obtain work by public bid and invited bid, a majority of our work is negotiated. We have found the “team approach” to design-build construction provides significant improvements over the traditional bid process.
