I chose a career in medicine driven by my fascination with the underlying scientific principles. Within medicine, I gravitated towards surgery, and specifically, cardiac surgery, due to the immediate and tangible outcomes of my work. I believe in a holistic approach to patient care, recognizing not only their physical conditions but also their individual social circumstances. I find that too often, medicine focuses solely on treating the disease rather than understanding the patient and tailoring the treatment plan accordingly. When not practicing medicine, I enjoy golfing, fishing, and spending quality time with my family.
