Dr. Kohagen earned his B.A. in Biology in 1984 and his medical degree in 1988 from Case Western Reserve University. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency from Yale-New Haven Hospital in 1991, followed by a gastroenterology fellowship in 1994 from the University of Michigan. Dr. Kohagen joined Raleigh Internal Medicine in 1994 and became a founding partner of Digestive Healthcare PA in 2000. He specializes in diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and pancreas, with special interest in liver diseases.
