Dr. Kulwicki is skilled at vascular procedures ranging from the routine to the very complicated. Implanting a HeRO® Graft in renal patients who have exhausted all other means of access for their hemodialysis treatments is one such example. This procedure takes considerable endovascular skill to perform. One HeRO Graft patient describes his work as “perfection” and puts his caring personality on par with his medical expertise. Inspired by other TriHealth medical leaders, Dr. Kulwicki has advanced his vascular practice for the benefit of his patients. He and his partners were the first in the nation to use certain devices. Eight years ago, Dr. Kulwicki was the first to bring a new kind of stent to Ohio patients. TriHealth vascular surgeons are great advocates for research and participate in many national vascular studies; on some they are the only local experts. He and his group drive each other to learn new things and introduce cutting-edge technology for the benefit of their patients. Dr. Kulwicki’s connection with the TriHealth Heart & Vascular Institute Fellowship Training Program spurred him to return to TriHealth after a six-year stint working in Columbus, Ohio.
