General Description

When an older sister sustained a traumatic brain injury as a teen, Dr. Krysten Kasting helped with her rehabilitation— an experience that inspired her to pursue a career in medicine. She is passionate about helping people regain function and return to the activities that matter most. As an experienced physiatrist, Dr. Kasting diagnoses and treats medical conditions affecting the brain, spine, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles and tendons. She enjoys working with patients who have had amputations and cord injuries. She also performs ultrasound-guided injections and uses Botox for spasticity control. Dr. Kasting emphasizes patient education. She believes in working with patients to build a treatment plan that works for their lifestyles. Dr. Kasting encourages a holistic approach to health, incorporating diet, exercise and complementary therapies, such as acupuncture and massage. Originally from New Hampshire, she moved to northern Ohio during high school. Her husband is a Middletown native and they chose Cincinnati to be closer to family. She is an equestrian and enjoys working with equine therapy programs. She likes to spend time with friends and family and walking her large dog.
