Exposed early on to dermatologists with her own skin conditions and her grandmother's melanoma, Dr. Ernst developed a natural interest and passion for the care and treatment of the skin. She appreciates the wide variety of diseases and treatment options available in dermatology, plus the lifelong learning involved. Dr. Ernst sees patients for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the skin, hair and nails. She also performs minor procedures in the office. She is especially interested in psoriasis and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Dr. Ernst likes to provide her patients with all of the options and information available, then work with them collaboratively on a treatment plan. She believes in empowering her patients to make their own decisions. She encourages everyone to wear mineral sunscreen to protect from the harmful effects of the sun. Married with one child, Dr. Ernst grew up in Cincinnati and was a competitive dancer. She likes taking adult classes at the Cincinnati Ballet with her sister.
