General Description

Mary Abbott Children's House is a safe place for children to tell their stories after a traumatic situation of abuse and/or neglect. Additionally, Abbott House provides medical exams and offers wellness checks to every child who comes through our doors. A family advocate works with the non-offending caregivers to help them understand the process surrounding the forensic interview and medical exam, court proceedings, and also offers referrals for counseling or any other needed services. Abbott House is one of over 800 Child Advocacy Centers in the US and is charged with serving Cleveland, Garvin, and McClain counties.
