General Description

Dr. Shiban Raina was born in Srinigar Kashmir, India and attended medical school at the Government Medical College in Kashmir, India. After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Raina worked in India for 10 years. In 1978, Dr. Raina emigrated to the United Kingdom to train in medicine and allied specialties including Gastroenterology. He passed the MRCP exam in 1986 and was elected as fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in 1994.Upon moving to the United States in 1993, Dr. Raina was a resident at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH. He then completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Guthrie Clinic/Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.
