I believe medicine was a calling for me. Practicing internal medicine for over 35 years, I have treated patients with complex and severe illnesses, including diabetes mellitus, hypertension and lipid disorders. And I consider it a privilege. \n I'm board-certified in internal medicine (specifically, adult medicine), hypertension and cholesterol management, and I'm currently studying for my fourth board certification - one in obesity medicine. \n My care philosophy revolves around being a full partner to my patients, listening to their concerns and being thorough with appropriate diagnostic testing. My team and I work hard to ensure patients have a comprehensive understanding of their condition and their treatment plan. \n Being involved in the medical community is important to me. I've had the honor of writing board-certification questions for over a decade and working part-time for three years for the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC). \n My family and I have lived in the Charleston area since 2008.
