Gene Dickerson, MD, is the physician executive at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, where he previously served as physician executive and vice president of medical affairs for 12 years. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, completed his surgical residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and entered private practice in Sumter in 1982, performing general and vascular surgery for 22 years.
