Avery Sides, M.D., is a Family Medicine Physician at Monument Health Custer Hospital and Clinic. She earned her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College Of Medicine in Omaha. She completed her Family Medicine Residency from the University of Nebraska Medical Center Advanced Rural Training Program. She enjoys the full scope of rural Family Medicine, including prenatal care and newborn care, to the elderly and everything in between. She enjoys being on the front lines of medicine, to be available to serve her patients at every stage of life in almost any medical matter. At times, this is a hands-on experience; at other times she takes on the role of an advocate or medical interpreter. Dr. Sides is active in the American Academy of Family Medicine, as well as the Air National Guard. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys on the Sides family ranch. She also enjoys running when time allows.
