Harvin is a professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Acute Care Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He’s also the medical director of the John S. Dunn Burn Center, where he helps provide comprehensive, forward-thinking care to burn patients. Harvin has received several awards throughout his career, including The University of Texas Medical School Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award every year from 2014-2022. He’s a member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
