Lisa Chen, MD, FACS, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained colon and rectal surgeon. She treats patients of all ages, focusing on nonsurgical options first and surgery as a second choice. She believes in listening to her patients, understanding their concerns, and helping them achieve their goals. Chen is an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She’s a member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the Harris County Medical Society, and the Texas Medical Association.
