William T. Couldwell, MD, PhD, FACS, is Professor and Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at University of Utah Health. Dr. Couldwell specializes in skull base surgery, brain tumors, cerebrovascular surgery, pituitary disease, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and neurocritical care. Dr. Couldwell has served as Director of the American Board of Neurological Surgery and as president of the AANS, AAcNS, and WANS, and has authored more than 600 peer‑reviewed publications.
