The Pierce County Parks and Recreation is a department of Pierce County, Wash. One of our best features is that we have larger parks AND they're more affordable!The department maintains more than 2,000 acres of land and over 30 park sites. Its facilities include recreational and community centers, athletic complexes, boat launch sites, public golf courses (one of which is PGA Golf Course, Chambers Bay - known for its challenging course, as well as a wonderful venue for weddings), parks and trails. Our facilities can accommodate the following:* Corporate Events and Meetings* Banquets* Parties* Birthday Parties* Golf* Weddings* Picnic SheltersThe department offers a variety of companionship programs that provides recreational and leisure opportunities for individuals with special needs. The Pierce County Parks and Recreation organizes sports activities that include soccer, basketball, ice skating, golf, hockey, tennis and baseball for youths. In addition, it offers athletic programs for adults, including volleyball, football, snowboarding and skiing. The department conducts art, dance, music, martial art and exercise classes.
