General Description

Mia Hagen, MD, is a board-certified surgeon and Director of the Sports Medicine Center at Husky Stadium, a team physician for Husky Athletics and a UW assistant professor of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Dr. Hagen performs minimally-invasive surgery for all types of athletic injuries, with particular interests in hip arthroscopy and injuries of young athletes. She loves returning injured athletes—whether a weekend warrior or professional competitor—to the field. Dr. Hagen earned her undergraduate degree at Yale University magna cum laude, M.D. and residency at UC San Francisco, and fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. Her team experience includes working with the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers, the MLB Cleveland Indians, and NCAA DIII sports at Baldwin-Wallace University. She is an active member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America and the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy.
